Three Federations newly joined to IESF

Belarus (Belarusian eSports Federation, BeSF), Lebanon (eSports Lebanon) and Saudi Arabia (Saudi Arabian Federation for Electronic & Intellectual Sport, SAFEIS) have now become new members of International Esports Federation (IESF).

At a normal IESF Board Meeting held on 13th December 2017, the three organizations, which were all favorably evaluated by the Board members, were allowed to become affiliated to IESF as an associate members. Accordingly, the three federations were given the right to participate in IESF’s next Esports World Championship and were also given the right to attend IESF’s General Meeting held during the 2018 IESF Esports World Championship.

IESF membership is divided into three categories: Full, Associate, and Affiliate. Only those accredited by IESF as National Federations in each country may become Full and Associate members. Associate membership is evaluated throughout the year and can be evaluated when the application is submitted. Full membership recognition is only reviewed once a year during the General Meeting of IESF.

As of December 2017, the number of IESF member nations is 46 of which 21 nations are from Asia, 17 nations from Europe, 4 nations from Africa and two of each from America and Oceania. Among these member nations, 24 members were approved by National Olympic Committee and National Sports Authority in each country.
